What is UDC and why?
Union Digital Center is a state-of-the-art Information and Technology Center (Telecentre) based on information technology, which aims at ensuring information services at grassroots doorsteps. From this center, people of rural areas get life and livelihood information and necessary services in their home environment very easily.
On November 11, 2010, Honorable Prime Minister inaugurated all the Union Digital Centers across the country through the Char Kakrimukuri Union TVview conference of Honorable Prime Minister from his office and Administrator of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and former Head of New Zealand Miss Helen Clark Bhola district. These centers receive about 40 million monthly information and services from these centers. Through the Union Digital Center, the rapid changes in the lives of the local people have started to come in a lot of way by getting faster, less costly and non-government services.
In the 'Service at Doorsteps', the journey of the Rokyounion Digital Center was started in front of the Glogan. With the establishment of the Union Digital Center, it is possible to create a free flow of information in every state of the society and the state system, where people do not have to go door to door for service, Barnesby is reaching the doorstep of the people. Free flow of information is one of the prerequisites for the public. With the establishment of information and services center in 4,501 union parishads of the country, access to free flow of information of rural people and access to information is available at the earliest time.
